Graduation 2009

Finally finally finally... I can say 'I'm done'. Done with the hassle of making long and tiresome trips to the school, done with having to concentrate hard during lectures, done with rushing to meet project deadlines, done with having to tell my friends 'I've got to prepare for the exams', and etc. I'm just glad. Enough of paper pursuits.

When I was young, I planned out my education path. Unlike the education system now (it's confusing by the way), the education path to take was straight forward: primary, secondary and tertiary. Although different people takes different paths, everyone ends up pretty much the same i.e. having conferred the degree certificate. I took a longer path than planned to accomplish my goal of attaining a degree certificate and at an older age.

Anyway, I for one, dislike the idea of 'paper makes a person'. Flaunting a paper qualification and then trying very hard to match up to not dislocate that position is a silly thing to do. Live up to your own expectations, not others.

Masters? Maybe, only if I'm sponsored to study again.

Time to move on with life...
